2020 Uranus and Neptune Retrograde (Energy Update)

Have you been feeling a pull to either open up to or deepen your spirituality? Maybe you keep seeing synchronized numbers or you know something will happen right before it does? Right now Uranus, (the rebellious planet) and Neptune (the spiritual planet) are retrograde, which could be why things don't seem to align anymore. These retrogrades are bringing heightened spiritual energy, but because of Uranus, it isn’t the kind of spirituality most of us grew up practicing of pious obedience. While you may be rediscovering spiritual practices that once fulfilled you, you're finding a way to tailor your beliefs in a way that uniquely speaks to you.

Uranus went retrograde on August 15 in Taurus, a house of love/money and ultimately stability. While Uranus breaks our traditions of thinking, Neptune is activating our higher power and spirituality which can show up in synchronicities and/or psychic abilities. The parts of yourself you may have repressed because of fear or skepticism are coming back as you realize your intuition and purpose are deeply embedded in your soul and have always been there. Uranus is bringing powerful shifts from the Capricorn age of endlessly working for money and burning our energy out, to the Aquarian age of going in to heal/replenish ourselves so we can then heal the toxicity of our world. While Uranus may have brought unemployment, the end of a relationship, a health crisis, a pregnancy, or some sort of life reroute... Neptune is showing us how to bounce back by healing ourselves and finding the stability we need through our own higher power and creative gifts.

While Uranus turns everything upside down, Neptune is reminding us that we can do anything that’s required of us and we’re not alone. Neptune has been retrograde in Pisces, it’s ruler, since June 23 and has been creating a collective desire to connect with our higher selves. This could be opening the mind of people who always believed they’d be strict atheist, or on the other end, discovering new abilities that heighten their connection to their source.

As Neptune went retrograde it has collectively shown that the higher power isn’t someone outside of ourselves, but something inside each of us that when tapped into will bring clarity towards your most authentic and happiest path.

Whatever redirection you feel pulling you right now is likely aligned with your higher purpose, especially if it feels scary and you have no idea how it’ll turn out. The lesson is in leaning in and trusting because the world needs new processes and ideas right now.
