2020 Chiron Going Direct + Eclipse Portal for Karmic Healing (Energy Update; Healing)
When Chiron, the wounded karmic healer, went retrograde on July 11, we slowly became aware of our deepest fear and how it holds us back from reaching our outward potential. (ex. Chiron in Cancer, fear of being unlovable because you’re different and therefore not extending self-love/care to yourself; Chiron in Leo, fear of not being enough as who you are, therefore acting disingenuously; Chiron in Virgo, fear of making mistakes and being seen as a fraud, causing a lack of confidence in decision making.) Chiron, the comet, is the shadow that makes us small for fear of rejection or failure. Its energy alone is intense, but he wasn’t alone. The recent eclipses held a mirror to our soul allowing us to directly see Chiron’s shadow and how it has negatively affected the areas of our chart associated with the eclipses (Gemini and Sagittarius placements).
While we were made aware of this shadow aspect over the summer, it may have felt too scary or impossible to heal. However, between the two eclipses and Chiron stationing direct on December 15, we can no longer pretend this part of our life is working because it is blindly apparent how inauthentic this shadow is to who we are meant to become.
All of the heavy Capricorn energy over the past three years has hit the Cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn hardest, likely tearing down those parts of your chart and whatever you held onto for security outside of yourself. It was debilitating, lonely, and we thought it broke us.
But in that darkness, we realized we are never truly alone because we always had ourselves and we are enough. Our protection is enough. Our talent is enough. Our intellect is enough. Our purpose is enough. Our love is enough. And ultimately, our happiness is worth pursuing because we are meant to shine in the world, and for that to happen, we need happiness interwoven with the darkness.
Now that we have collectively gone through these lessons, we are given a choice to either remain broken and exposed while we let other factors define our worth and suck our creativity and energy, or, to rebuild ourselves on a foundation of courage and authenticity.
Today, December 17, Jupiter moved from Capricorn into Aquarius, implementing another shift and level of integration. While we may have briefly felt an energetic break after Chiron went direct, Jupiter reminds us to continue healing and letting go so we can make space for all of the enlightenment this new season has to offer. The Chiron and eclipse wounding will continue getting triggered up until the Winter Solstice on December 21 when Saturn, the father of the zodiac, moves out of his home sign of Capricorn and into Aquarius. And while Saturn remains in Capricorn, he will keep triggering these shadows until he is satisfied you have begun on your path of rebuilding yourself stronger and better than ever.
